Quick reliability checks

Phone settings can change how alarms appear. Complete the built-in 12-second test before relying on WiseWake for an important wake.

An alarm did not sound or appear

  1. Open WiseWake and refresh Wake Readiness.
  2. Resolve every permission or settings warning shown there.
  3. Check the phone’s media/alarm volume and vibration settings.
  4. Run the 12-second alarm test, lock the phone, and confirm delivery.

On Android, also check Alarms & reminders, notifications, full-screen alarm access, and battery restrictions when shown. On iPhone, allow the alarm and notification permissions requested by WiseWake.

Walk 12 is not counting steps

  1. Keep WiseWake visible and carry the phone while walking.
  2. Allow Physical Activity on Android or Motion & Fitness on iPhone.
  3. Begin walking only after the active mission displays the step count.

If iPhone reports that motion access is restricted, check Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness. Screen Time or device management may lock that setting.

A reminder is missing or late

  1. Confirm notifications are allowed for WiseWake.
  2. Check that the reminder is enabled and displays the intended date.
  3. Verify the phone’s date, time, and time zone are correct.
  4. Create a reminder a few minutes ahead and test Done and Snooze.

Delete WiseWake data

Delete individual alarms and reminders in the app. To remove all local WiseWake data, clear the app’s storage in Android settings or uninstall WiseWake. On iPhone, uninstalling removes the app’s local container; Apple backups follow your Apple backup settings.

WiseWake has no online account or remote app database in this release. Read the data deletion section for details.

For critical wake-ups: Until you have confirmed the locked-phone test on your device, use a backup alarm. Final alarm delivery and presentation are also controlled by the phone and operating system.
